HUMAN DISEASS REDEFINED

90. Short Temperament

Often tension, stress, differences of opinion, psycho-logical problems, etc. are said to be the causes for the short temperament of a person. It is also said that when a person meditates as per Indian system of Yoga, the person ‘cools down’.

If the heart beat or pulse rate is measured, a person with great anger would show a fast beat, and that is called palpitation. After meditation, the rate would slow down. As a result, people tend to conclude that anger tends to increase the heart beat in a person. Whereas, the truth appears to be the other way around. A person gets his anger only as a result of increased palpitation.

In reality, the rate of heart beat appears to get regulated by the male hormone androgen, secreted by the adrenal glands located above the kidneys. Just before the initiation of anger, ‘abundant’ hormone gets pumped into the blood system, and that instantly increases the rate of heart beat and creates the anger.

A reduced salt (Sodium chloride) content in the body appears to reduce the androgen production. Its increase seems to be increasing the hormone. Almost all of the obese people take reduced salt through their foods. Therefore, they tend to become lazy and lethargic, with relatively a slow heart rate. They normally do not get short-tempered, but stay cool headed, and often indifferent to things that happen around them.

However, in certain under-urinating obese people, if they happen to take mediocre quantity of salt (and not too little), such salt may get accumulated within their body, thus giving rise to short-temperament, palpitation and hypertension. The salt that gathers in the body this way, tends to inhibit the production of the male sex hormone androgen, and suppresses their sex potentials as well.

As opposed to the obese, the Skeletal and Thin people tend to consume large quantities of salt. Yet, they tend to lose most of it through the excessive urinations they void. The remaining, but decreased salt content increases the production of androgen, and that gives this people the rapid heart beat, palpitation. This in turn makes them highly short-tempered.

In other words, almost all the Skeletal and Thin persons, irrespective of their gender difference, are very highly short tempered.

Again, as a result of the increased androgen production, this group of men and women will also be hypersexed.

The inferences from the above observation are that (a) increased retention of salt in the body decreases one’s anger and sexuality, and (b) a decrease in the salt content increases one’s sensitivity and sexuality.

HUMAN DISEASES REDEFINED

89. Shingles

According to Taber’s dictionary, it is called Herpes zoster. “It is an acute infectious disease, caused by the varicella-zoster virus. It is characterised by inflammation of the posterior root ganglia of only a few segments or the spinal or cranial nerves. A painful vesicular eruption occurs along the course of the nerve, and is almost always unilateral”. It is also said that recovery may take anything between 10 to 35 days.

According to Tierney, et al (2005), this disease can raise “a suspicion of Hodgkin’s disease or HIV infection. HIV infected patients are 20 times more likely to develop” this disease.

The following true case-history should prove very useful for the understanding of this as well as all the virus caused diseases:

While I was in Coimbatore city in India recently, I was aware that my body was in a state of hyperacidosis.

I allowed it to continue for about two months. At the end this period, at the peak of the acid state, I suddenly developed unbearable and ‘funny-kind’ of pain on one side of my body.

I felt it as if some one has been pricking a part of my body using a million pins. The pain can only be felt, and cannot be described in words. It occurred to me at that time, that even my most hated enemy should not get such a pain.

The next morning, I went to a specialist’s clinic, where, a popular dermatologist diagnosed it correctly, and almost instantly, that it was shingles.

He prescribed eight different medicines to take. If I remember right, it included an antiviral therapy. The doctor said the pain may stay for very long durations.

A gentleman who lived in the neighbourhood there visited me, and narrated how he had had the same problem some eight years ago. He said that the pain was still coming on and off, and that he did not get it after attending my Group Therapy programme. This news became food for my thought.

The same day, a gentleman of 85 years of age, a former soldier in the INA (Indian National Army of Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose) living next door, visited me.
He described how he suffered of shingles some 35 years ago, and that the pain still comes and goes without any pattern. I was terrified when I heard this.

He also suggested that I should go to a local pot-maker, give him some gifts, get his blessings, ‘hymns’ and some clay, and rub that clay all over the shingles-affected parts of my body.

I was seriously contemplating doing that, for the suffering was unbearable torturous. I was prepared to do anything to come out of it.

I recollected having observed earlier the treatments In Indian villages people give to patients infected with smallpox, German measles, or any other serious form of virus infection.

The sufferers are treated with the neem (Azadirecta indica) leaves that are highly alkaline. In addition, they are fed with coconut water. We know well that coconut water is also an alkaline substance. This treatment is based on the Siddha and Ayurvedic medical systems.

On further analysis of the nature of the disease through the medical literature, I decided to treat it on my own, and therefore, did not take any of the medications the dermatologist prescribed.

On the same day, I developed a hypothesis based on my own knowledge, and started treating the disease.

I was sure that all viruses can ‘survive’ only in an acid medium. So, my idea of ‘killing’ the virus was designed to overwhelmingly ‘immerse’ the virus in an alkaline medium.
I made up my mind. I would do as per my hypothesis. If there were no improvement of any kind for the next one week, I would probably go to the pot-maker there, with a view to getting his clay for a body-rub.

Based on this decision, I immediately bought 10 coconuts (Cocos nucifera), 60 pieces of sea-coconut (palm fruits, botanically known a Borassus flabellifers, called “nonggu’ in Tamil), a small tin of calcium hydroxide (i.e., burnt lime, quick lime, hydrated lime, or ‘chunnambu’ in Tamil, and ‘kapur’ in Bahasa Malaysia). The latter two items are of very high alkaline pH’s.

Almost immediately, I started the treatment. I drank about 20 ml of the coconut water (+ some of its meat), once every hour.

I ate one piece of the tender sea-coconut, also once every hour. Made a slimy paste of the lime, and rubbed it all over the skin (only on the right side of my body) that has been having the shingles, in a manner that resembled painting a wall. I did this too once every hour.

Standing under mildly pouring cool water shower in the bathroom gave me some soothing comfort. Therefore, I made it a point to wash off the lime this way, also once every hour, before applying my next ‘coat’ of the lime. I did this without rubbing the skin.

I did all these at hourly intervals, simply because I suffered intense pain, and did not know what else to do than what I did. My wife helped me to do some of these. I voided urine based only on the urge created by the pressure at the bladder. As for the food, I ate frequently a little of rice porridge, added with coconut milk and sugar.

I couldn’t sleep at all, neither could I lie down on bed. The pain did not allow all these. It was as though I was going mad.

On the third day, the pain reduced to a recognisable extent. Yet, I continued all the treatments, with the believe that I was in the right track. On the fifth day, surprisingly, I almost recovered. Therefore, I reduced all the treatments to a barest minimum.
By 8th day, I was completely normal. After that, until this day, I do not have any recurrence at all!
I think, I found a cure for shingles. I also felt that God gave me this disease only to educate me on these details. Further, since this disease resembles that of HIV infection, as per my hypothesis, the same kind of treatment, suitably modified, can be given to HIV infected patients for, most probably, a permanent cure.

HUMAN DISEASES REDEFINED

88. Semen Reduction

The seminal fluid in men tends to be ‘watery’ and plentiful when a man is in his teens, twenties and thirties. The quantity gradually decreases along with age. The quantity tends to have direct relevance to the pleasure one gets during ejaculation / orgasm.
Of course, depending upon the extent to which a man gets excited and sexually aroused, the quantity of the seminal fluid can vary.

However, the type of food one eats can change the quality of the ejaculated semen. A man eating too much of protein tends to produce abundant seminal fluid . A drastic reduction in the protein quantity eaten can reduce the quantity, besides making the semen very thick.

Sperm production gets reduced in persons who suffer from long-term insomnia. A similar reduction tends to occur in men who keep awake throughout night, performing night duties.

Normally, all repair works, growth, productivity, etc. occur in people only while at sleep. Such works get disturbed in those who keep awake during night times. Therefore, a significant reduction occurs not only in the quantity of seminal fluid produced, but also in the quantity of red blood cells formed.

Thick seminal fluid may not be able to flow well into the cervix for fertilising the ovum. Thus, reproduction may get hampered if a man is going to refrain from eating protein-rich foods, or keep awake through the nights.

One should remember not to overeat proteins, for that would bring in several undesirable health problems to the person concerned.

In the under-urinating obese people, owing to the accumulation of calcium, the sperm cells become enlarged (hypertrophy). Their motility and capacity for fertilisation also become much reduced. This forms a major reason for the prevalence of sterility among the obese men.

HUMAN DISEASES REDEFINED

87. Scalp Itch and Dandruff

Scalp itches can occur because of two major reasons: particle pollutants emitted from industries and vehicles can settle on the scalp.

When these get dissolved in sweat and reach the scalp’s dermal layer, they can cause irritations, and these are felt as itches. Scratching the itchy spot would certainly help for easing the problem.

Second type of scalp itch can occur due to dry dandruff. When we allow forceful jets of shower water to hit the scalp , the sebum (oil) from the oil glands tend to get removed, thus leaving the scalp dry without any oil.

Similar to the curling of the surface clay in a drying pond, the dried outer layer of the scalp peels and curls. These constitute the dry dandruff.

The sebaceous oil is a powerful germicide. In its absence, airborne bacteria gain entry into the spot and start feeding on the dandruff. Such bacteria tend to give us the scalp itch.

Scratching the scalp when itch occurs due to dandruff may not be a good idea, for it only aggravates the situation by increasing the peeling process and spreading of the bacteria.

In this case, the best remedy should be to replace the sebum. In other words, some gingerly oil application to the scalp would rectify the problem very well.

The excess oil can be removed from the hair with the use of some good shampoo. While doing this, the oil on the scalp should not be removed by over-rubbing the scalp, or with the use of excessive shampoo.

There is another type of dandruff called ‘wet’ dandruff, and this looks like flakes, and oozes out from within. This has nothing to do with the shampoo nor with the shower water.

This type of wet dandruff is due to the accumulation of excessive calcium in the body. Therefore, we have to eliminate the excess by the procedure I have been repeatedly describing in this book in different contexts.

HUMAN DISEASES REDEFINED

86. Salt-caused Diseases

It appears that excessive salt consumption can thicken the semen, similar to the thickening of the blood.

Salt can induce insomnia: Salt thickens the blood, and reduces the total volume of the blood, resulting in low B/P initially. The Law of Compensation corrects the lower B/P to normal, in the course of a month or so, and subsequently makes its volume increased to the extent of giving a higher pressure, or hypertension.

The thick blood should have greater potential to carry more oxygen than normal, resulting in enhanced supply of oxygen to the brain.

If oxygen supply gets reduced for a while (hypoventi-lation), brain develops dizziness, headache, and even fainting. Total stoppage results in death.

Chronic under-supply of oxygen makes the person stupid, and that slows down digestion as well, resulting in making the person obese.

When ample or excessive oxygen is made available (hyperventilation) to the brain, the opposite of all the above can happen. The brain becomes over-active and food that has already been digested gets rapidly burnt, giving the person frequent hunger.
An over-working brain will give rise to insomnia. This condition, at its extreme, will make the brain work non-stop even if the person under-goes forced sleep with the use of sedatives or sleeping tablets.

As a result of the above, the brain will try to help by inducing frequent urination so that the excessive salt can get removed out of the body through such urinations.

Thus, the person who consumes excessive salt, will be urinating numerous times through the night while trying to sleep. He will also develop severe thirst for replacement of the body’s lost liquid.

A drastic reduction in salt consumption can help in the restoration of good sleep as well as to avoid frequent nocturnal urination.

New born babies do not consume any salt at all, other than what is present in mother’s milk. Therefore, they can sleep extensively, even for 23 hours a day. As they grow up, and as they start consuming more and more salt, their sleep duration gets reduced.

All the obese people consume very little salt. Therefore, they too develop a capacity to sleep well for prolonged hours.

As described above, reduced salt keeps the blood thin, and that supplies reduced oxygen to the brain, which in turn makes the obese people relatively stupid, lazy and lethargic. The obese, normally, never wake up while asleep to urinate.

On the other hand, if salt consumption is overly reduced, resulting in its inadequacy or deficiency, then, palpitation (i.e., rapid heart beat) will occur, and this will increase body metabolism, and thereby induce insomnia.

Therefore, consumption of normal amounts of salts is a must for grown-up people. Reduction in salt consumption can be maintained at an optimum by monitoring the rate of heart beat (i.e., the pulse).
