HUMAN DISEASES REDEFINED

58. Insomnia (Sleeplessness)

One or more causes can induce sleeplessness.
Excessive salt consumption for a prolonged period, too much of oxygen inhalation leading to
hyperventilation, hunger (trying to sleep on an empty stomach), etc. are some among them. Sleep disorders caused by sorrows, anxiety, etc. are common knowledge to everybody.

Drinking a glass of warm milk, eating some food, taking a warm water shower, having sex, counting down from 100 with eyes closed, listening to soft music, focusing our thoughts over our stomach movements, etc. are often sug-gested to overcome insomnia. They work well in many.

The following constitute a few more that could be tried:
Consumption of excessive salt through food should be cut down to an optimum quantity.

This would reduce the thickness of the blood that tends to carry a rich supply of oxygen to the brain, thus increasing its alertness.

Drinking more water (about 2L) and urinating about 8 times daily would help in the removal of the excessive salt from the body.

I have personally suffered intense form of insomnia when I lived in a small condominium, wherein I was sitting sedentarily with my computer for about 18 hours daily, seven days a week, for four months. I was then writing most part of this book!

Later on, I traced this to be due to some form of anxiety neurosis. When I took a long holiday for two months, the problem disappeared on its own.

Many resort to sleeping pills often. I am not totally against the use of such pills. However, one should not take it for more than three to seven days at a stretch, lest, one gets addicted to it.

Long-term usage will certainly prove to be bad for the upkeep of good health. Then, addiction will get established.

57. Infertility

People who under-urinate (2-3 times daily) tend to become obese.
If such a habit is continued for a few years, then they become much big-sized persons, with tough body muscles.

This happens because of the accumulation of calcium to an enormous quantity.
When their calf muscle reaches a hardness (cH) of anything above 80%, they reach an Obesity Status of IV.

Men, at Obesity Type IV, produce very little sperms. Often, their sperms do not possess motility power to reach the egg in the female to fertilise it for a possible reproduction.
This is one major reason for the occurrence of male sterility.

Women at Obesity IV stage, tend to develop blockages along the Fallopian tubes, also due to the accumulation of calcium as stated above, and prevent the penetration of the sperm for a possible fertilisation and reproduction*.

(* There is every possibility that the ovum itself, being made up of soft tissue, getting peripherally calcified in the under-urinating women, to the extent of preventing the penetration of the sperms, thus preventing fertilisation for a successful reproduction. Decalcifying an already developed ovum may not be possible.)

Abundant calcium can also induce the formation of what is called an endometritis in the uterus and other spots at the pelvis, and prevent reproduction.
These sites could later on be invaded by bacteria such as E. coli*, Staphylococci, and Bacilli.

(* The presence of Escherichia coli (E.coli) bacteria in the duodenal ulcers of the intestinal tract, and the same in the endometrium at the pelvic region should be considered as of Secondary Infection rather than the causative factor. Since the endometritis with the inflammation occurs only in the obesity Type IV people, and not in the Skeletal, Thin or the Perfect, even based on logical conclusions, all species of bacteria there should have started invading the location only after the accumulation of calcium deposits, and not before.)

(* These infections should be considered as of secondary Infection, rather than the primary source for the very problem. Anyway, this too can create sterility problem in a female.

There could be several reasons for infertility among the obese people. The following too can hinder a successful reproduction:

During coitus, a forceful ejaculation, even if prematurely discharged, will push the seminal fluid into the cervix, enhancing an easy travel of the sperm further to get the ovum fertilised.

If the woman gets orgasm, a suction force develops to pull in the semen, and that helps substantially and at ease, in fertilising the egg.

In the absence of a female orgasm, if a man does not discharge his seminal fluid into the deeper parts of the vagina, then fertilisation can become difficult, resulting in ‘infertility’.
Elaborate information on this subject, and methods of successful fertilisation have been discussed in my book on sex (Palaniappan, 2007).

55. Hypersexuality / Excessive Masturbation
Under normal circumstances, teenaged boys tend to be hypersexed. This is the effect of an increased secretion of the male sex hormone (adrogen) in them. This should be considered a near-normal occurrence.

On the other hand, if men and women, irrespective of their ages, happen to feel hypersexed, it could be due to under-nourishment or nutrient depletion from the body.
The above can happen in the following way:

When a person drinks too much of water (e.g., 4 L daily), and urinates nearly all of it through some 14 or more urinations, then, most of the water-soluble nutrients that are much needed for the well-being of the body gets leached out. Such a depletion will make the person hypersexed.

Nutrient shortage, based on the knowledge we have on plants, could induce more androgen secretion in both sexes, requiring frequent sex relationship or masturbations.
.
If a soil environment is totally devoid of water (or nutrients), then the plants that live there, especially the short-lived annuals (herbs), are bound to die.

However, before they die, they quickly produce flowers, get pollinated, and produce fruits. Such fruits tend to be much smaller in size, and not very healthy.

Yet, this happens because, the Nature wants to keep up the progeny of the plants, rather than leaving them to become extinct *.
.
(*Have you noticed that people living in poverty tend to reproduce large number of children? One of the reasons is, when in nutrient shortage, they become hypersexed.)

After all, the dryness could only be a temporary pheno-menon. In the next season, abundant rainwater may become available, and the seeds could germinate again to keep up the progeny on.

Thus, this analogy could hold some truth even for humans, for we often see increased reproduction among the most poor people in certain countries.

One way to reduce being hypersexed is to reduce the quantity of water, without restricting the urinations. Drinking about 2 L of water daily should be in order.

Eating salty food (using uniodised salt, slightly above optimum) and reducing the quantity of proteins eaten will also help in the correction of the hypersexual state. Protein reduction will reduce sperm production.

It may be of interest to note that all obese people are under-sexed, whereas the Skeletal ones are over-sexed.

.

Another very important point is related to what I told a few months back about H1N1 disease, that led to a big controversy:

If a male masturbates EXCESSIVELY (e.g., about 3 times a day, daily), his body loses immunity to viruses. As a result, he can develop skin rashes initially, virus-caused* H1N1, Hepatitis, Shingles, Measles, Chickenpox, or, HIV and AIDS. These virus diseases are pH-related. Each kind of virus thrives within a narrow range of acidity. Thus, excessive body acidity* (i.e., hyperacidosis) favours HIV and AIDS.

.

(* The pH of blood does NOT change. It constantly stays between pH 7.3 and 7.4. Even smaller changes can result in death.

.

The inter and intra-cellular fluids (e.g., lymph fluid) can change to different pH levels, and make the body hyperacidosed.)

.

(Ref: "Virus-caused H1N1" : I will qualify this term at an appropriate time, in the near future).

.

The above are based on case histories I have come across. For the present, many may want to drag me into controversy. Although I am not inclined to put up fights with people for any reason, the above statement is based on truth - not an imagination. Soon you will find some other researcher coming up with identical findings.

54. Hyperhidrosis (Profuse Sweating)

It may be of interest to note that by a surgical procedure, the hyperhidrosis was cured in an 18 year old girl recently by Dr. Peter Goh Min Yi of Raffles Hospital in Singapore.
As per report in MediScience Singapore (2006: 7, p5):

Endoscopic thoracoscopic sympethectomy (ETS) is a surgical procedure that involves the cutting of the nerve associated with the overactive sweat glands.

The rate of success reported in the year 2000, in Annals ol Thoracic Surgery was 97 per cent.
I have now (Palaniappan, 1998, 2000, 2001) established very well that hyperhidrosis occurs because of the imbalance between water consumption and urination.

If a person drinks, say, 3L water daily, and urinates much less (e.g., 2L), then most of the remaining one liter of the water gets out of the body in the form of profuse sweat, otherwise called hyperhidrosis.

Such a sweat will occur even if the person refrains from any physical activity. Often, even the palms and feet of these people get wet with such sweat.

This problem can be doubtlessly cured by (a) increasing the urination (once every hour for about one month (however, a drastic decrease to almost a normal condition can be seen within two weeks or so), and (b) avoiding of all those that favour loss of water through the skin, such as the use of fan at high speed, sweat-promoting exercises, hot sunshine, working near furnaces, etc.
This problem has nothing to do with (a) genetic inheritance, and (b) hormonal imbalance, as has been misconceived by some. It is a question of hyperhydration, that can be corrected without any surgery or medication.

Therefore, in an asthmatic, in the process of curing it, the hyperhidrosis too will get certainly corrected.
