NEW MEGA SERIES: HUMAN DISEASES, REDEFINED

7. Asthma

Difficulty to breath in and out, owing to the congestion of the internal structure of the lungs, forms the asthma.

.
When a person under-urinates or withholds his/her urinal pressure for too long a period, and as a regular habit, the water is reabsorbed into the blood stream. The brain tries to get rid of it by inducing a profuse sweat, called hyperhidrosis, all over the body,.
.

Let us see an analogy here:
.

Let us imagine that we are seated inside a car, in a hot weather, with all sources of ventilations closed.
.

If there is going to be sudden downpour of rain, the car gets cooled. Soon, the water vapour we have breathed out inside the car would get settled on the inner side of the glass windows as mist, blocking the clear vision.
.

This happens due to the process of condensation. As a result, even the driving may become hazardous.
.

Similar to this, in a person who under-urinates (2 or 3 times daily), the profuse sweat that gets excreted at skin level cools our body surface.
.

The moisture-containing air (air with high relative humidity) that enters the lungs through the nostrils get condensed into droplets at the breathing holes (called the alveoli), preventing the penetration of air into or out of it.
.

This prevents the input of oxygen and the output of carbon dioxide, resulting in Asthma.
.

The above Asthmatic condition would become chronic if the person happens to sleep daily in a room with all the windows closed (and with a fast-running fan).
.

This is so because, the expired air that accumulates within the unventilated closed room will carry in it plenty of moisture.
.

The fast-running fan would further transpire more water from the body of the sleeping person, and would increase the percentage of moisture present in the air (i.e., increase the relative humidity – the RH).
.

When such moist air enters into the lungs during inspiration, the moisture condenses at the alveoli into droplets, sealing them totally, causing total blockage of the breathing holes, thus preventing air exchange.
.

Subsequent breathing will become very difficult, creating an acute form of asthma.
.

Many a time, I have observed people who are prone to asthma, sleeping with their full body and head covered with blankets or comforter.
.

Such a situation would result in the gathering of carbon dioxide and moisture from expired air as well as transpired sweat within the blanket, simulating a ‘closed-chamber’ like environment. Under these conditions, an asthma-prone person is bound to get an acute attack of the disease.
.

If such a state continues for a while, then, for want of oxygen, the brain collapses, and death occurs.
.

Wanting to prevent such a mishap, the brain, as a last resort, tries to drive out the water from within the body rapidly in the form of profuse sweat. Yet, an instant death may become unavoidable.
.

However, if prompt medical aid is given, with the use of certain drugs that are very well developed these days, death can be avoided.
.

The drugs tend to enlarge the breathing holes – the alveoli, and that facilitates the air movement both ways.
.

Unfortunately, these drugs may not remove the water droplets that are formed at the alveoli.
.

In other words, the cause that is responsible for the development of asthma tends to stay for ever.
.

A permanent cure for the total eradication of asthma attacks depends upon the prevention of water condensation at the lungs.
.

This can be achieved by training the patient to urinate properly.
.

Urinating once every hour, while awake, for two or three weeks would give a temporary relief.
.

If such a practise is continued for a prolonged period of about two months or so, that would give a permanent cure to the sufferer.
.

However, the duration may depend upon the intensity, frequency, and history of the attacks suffered by the concerned individual.
.

In the process of treatment, the patient should also be trained (a) to sleep in a room with adequate ventilation, (b) to sleep without covering his face with a blanket, (c) to use fan only at speed one, and (d) not to do any sweat-out exercises.
.

Once cured, the patient should continue to urinate about 8–10 times daily, at regular intervals.
.

If the person returns to his original habit of urinating just twice or thrice a day, along with other ‘bad’ habits, then he/she would get back the ailment.
.

Elaborate details on this subject may be seen in my book entitled “Asthma, Bronchitis, Cough, Sneezing and Sweating” (2001). Also see Hyperhidrosis in this book.

8. Back Pain
.
Practically everybody gets back pain at one time or another, even in their twenties. Such a pain rarely has anything to do with the spinal chord.
.

Stones of calcium, uric acid and creatinine formed in kidneys of the obese due to under-urination could give such a pain at the lower back.
.

This can be dissolved by consuming distilled or rain water and acid fruits and foods, coupled with liberal urination (about 10 times daily)..
.

A different kind of back pain could also occur because of lumbar muscle strain / spasm.
.

This is essentially due to localised acidification of the muscles because of over-work.
.

Immediate help can be had through the intake appropriate anti-inflammatory medications, along with some pain killers.
.

A natural recovery may take a few days, for the person has to take bed rest and keep consuming alkaline foods and drinks, such as coconut water, sea-coconut, oranges, lemon juice, and the like. Glucose drinks too would help.
.

The back pain related to the spinal stenosis or even arthritis in older people is also related to the above-described pH imbalance.
.

Back pain due to what is popularly known as ‘slip disc’ (spondylolisthesis) should be considered as a rare occurrence.
.

Instead, most of sufferers, based on their X-ray film that shows some space between vertebrae, are misdiagnosed as having this kind of slip disc.
.

In reality, X-ray of almost any middle-aged person, even if he does not have any pain, tends to show such a space, owing to ‘wear and tear’ or degeneration.
.
However, not everybody who has such a space in vertebrae get pain. In fact, most people don’t.
.

I have corrected successfully numerous back-pain cases of this description with a simple reversal of the cause.
.

The pain (not the muscular cramp) arises solely because of wearing very tight pants, belt and elastic briefs (or panties and skirt in the case of females) at the waist.
.
.
.
When a person wearing such tight materials bend, or even sit on a chair, his pelvic girdle and lower backbones (lower vertebrae) get forced to move apart from each other, and this causes severe pain there.
.

The cure for this is a simple reversal of the cause: the person should totally stop wearing anything tight at the waist for two or three days. The pain would vanish on its own.
.

This is how and why a patient admitted to a hospital ward for observation, wearing a full length cloth hanging from his shoulders, and with no underwear, gets his/her pain cleared in two days even without any drug.
.

However, on getting discharged, when the person starts wearing, out of ignorance, his tight garments again, the back pain returns. This kind of situation often gets misdiagnosed as ‘slip-disc’.
.

A patient who had undergone spine surgery a year earlier for such a slip-disc, came to me complaining the re-occurrence of the same kind of pain.
.

He was relieved of it, like several others who came to me with identical complains.
.

The reversal technique involved nothing more than wearing a loose trouser, fitted with x-type straps that facili-tated its hanging from the shoulders.
.

Anyone wearing a tight belt is bound to get this kind of back pain for certain. Even elastic-fitted expandable under-wear tends to create such a pain in both men and women.
.

A few more causes, such as osteoporosis, that may cause back pain should be considered very rare rather than common among people.
.

Back pain or bone pain from all over the body normally occurs due to osteoporosis only in menopaused women taking excessive calcium by way of misconceived treatment.
.

Back pain due to muscular cramp is related to hyperacidosis, and that has nothing to do with this aetiology (i.e., cause).
.
.
THE NEXT ARTICLE IS GOING TO BE ON BAD BREADTH (Halitosis).
