38. Flatulence / Smelly Gas
There are two types in constipation. When a person does not defecate at least once daily, he develops what is called an acute constipation.
In this case, the faecal matter tends to get hardened and dried-up. If the interval gets extended to 3 or 4 days, then, the faeces may become hard, with cracks.
In those who defecate once a week or so, these pellets may become blackish in colour. If further delay occurs, then the faecal matter becomes black-coloured pellets, similar to goat’s droppings.
In acute constipation, not much gas (flatulence) will get emitted. If released, such gasses may not be much awful.
The second type is called chronic constipation. This happens when people eat food prepared using super refined flours, such as biscuits and bakery products. Eating over-ripe papaya fruit too gives rise to this problem.
Chronic constipation is characterised by frequent defe-cation of slimy and smelly stools in small quantities.
A person tends to go to toilet more than at least twice a day, and in some that can happen even up to eight or more number of times, daily.
In chronic constipation, the slimy faecal matter at the colon and rectal area promotes bacterial fermentation, releasing plenty of awful smelling, highly odorous and repulsive gas.
Such flatulence tend to ‘leak out’ of the sufferer, every now and then, in an uncontrollable manner.
Almost without exception, all type-2 diabetic people definitely suffer from this kind of chronic constipation.
Correction of chronic constipation involves cleansing the intestinal tract with the use of some strong and herbal laxative, followed by the avoidance of biscuits, bakery productions, all foods made of refined wheat flour, papaya fruit, and the like.
